The Dirty Fizz Cafe is a locally owned cafe at 254 West Dominick Street in Rome, serving dirty sodas, made-to-order food, and custom drinks to the Copper City and surrounding areas including Utica, Oneida, New Hartford, Camden, and Canastota.


The name says it: we built this place around the dirty soda concept as our signature offering. If you haven't tried one yet, you're in for something fun—flavored sodas customized with your choice of mix-ins, cream, and flavor combinations that turn a regular drink into something completely your own. We also serve breakfast and lunch made fresh to order, because nothing here sits under a lamp waiting for someone to pick it.

Open Six Days a Week in the Heart of Rome

We're open Tuesday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Saturday 9 AM to 3 PM, and Sunday 9 AM to 2 PM. Closed Mondays. The early morning hours work for the Griffiss Business & Technology Park crowd heading in before their shift, and the extended weekday hours catch the Rome Free Academy students and afternoon regulars who want something better than drive-through.


Rome's location in Central New York means we get real seasons—cold winters, humid summers—and the cafe reflects that. Hot drinks matter in January, and iced dirty sodas hit different in July. We adjust what we're pushing based on what actually makes sense when you walk through the door.
